Meeting Voices A video with ten Yorkshire Quakers
Quakerism goes back around 350 years. Seekers in England who found that the church did not meet their spiritual needs came together in worship. They met without priests in order to experience God in their lives directly.
Over time, their testimonies developed: truth, simplicity, equality and peace.
All our meeting houses have leaflets about Quakerism.
They also have libraries with books for enquirers.
Friargate Meeting House is open throughout the week with a seating area and refreshments available.
