Quaker Quest is the name given nationally to events designed to introduce newcomers to Quakers and Quakerism.
Informal events are intended to be a starting point for an exploration of the Quaker values and the Quaker outlook on life. They are intended to help newcomers consider whether Quakerism might speak to them.
In York, we have also arranged a variety of events, including talks and discussions. Details of forthcoming and planned events for newcomers will be posted on this page. We usually arrange special events during Quaker Week, each year in the autumn.
Newcomers to Quakerism often find these special events a useful introduction. However, each meeting welcomes newcomers at other events throughout the year.
Visitors are also always welcome to come and experience any meeting for worship at one of our meeting houses. You will find details and times on this website.
